New Advisory Fuel Rates - June/July 2009

HMRC has published its latest set of Advisory Fuel Rates (AFRs) on its web-site at http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/cars/advisory_fuel_current.htm. These were intended for use from 1st July 2009 but HMRC "is content for the new rates can be implemented immediately where employers are able and wish to do so."
ACFO scrutiny has indicated that there may be some incorrect calculations in certain of the groups, and has raised these points directly with the HMRC policy team at HM Treasury. If there are to be any adjustments to the final published figures, ACFO members will be among the very first to know!
