Voting for this year's Fleet Car, Fleet Light Van and Fleet Large Van of the Year will be done on-line at the ACFO web-site (http://www.acfo.org) for the first time.
All of the valuable charactieristics of the Awards, across over 20 years history, will be retained: the voting by members only, based on a minimum of 12 months' operational experience and the considered view of the overall package at model level are still included in the rules.
But instead of a postal ballot, the voting will be done by members once logged-in, to maintain the security of the voting audience. The results will be collated electronically and scrutinised by Philip Somarakis, a Partner with solicitors Blake Lapthorn. The results will be announced shortly after close of the poll on Friday 16th October; with the Awards themselves presented at a lunch event to be arranged with the winners of each of the 3 categories.
Members will be encouraged to used the simple and quick on-line voting facility to cast their votes, so that the final results will be a true expression of the best in Fleet.
