There's a guidance note from DVLA, who are concerned about current levels of incomplete/ inaccurate V62 Applications for a Vehicle Registration Certificate. Members with responsibilities/ obligations to deal with this might find the guidance useful. (See Library/ General Motoring section).
We have also uploaded a copy of an American news report on the very positive and unambiguous Presidential Order issued directly by Barak Obama, very clearly banning any form of texting while driving on US government business. No ifs, no buts about this - it's been declared off-limits and government agencies have to submit their policies and actions to implement the Order. Although this is under a completely different jurisdiction, surely many UK fleet operators can take inspiration from this unambiguous order, and make it clear in their own policies that this activity is simply unacceptable.
