We have received a note from DVLA indicting a minor problem with the fee calculations for some VED renewals under the Electronic Fleet Relicensing Scheme. The text is copied below.
Note that DVLA have spotted the problem and no incorrect fees appear to have been drawn from any fleet accounts. DVLA will be contacting directly all fleets likely to be impacted: this ACFO notice is simply an alert to ensure members using the EFR system.
To advise you that some of your members may have been impacted by a problem we have identified with electronic fleet relicensing for February 2010 date of liability.
We sent out our usual notification to companies advising them of how much VED we would be collecting. Unfortunately, some of the amounts quoted were incorrect. The error was spotted before any funds were withdrawn from the various accounts.
We will be writing today to all companies affected by this problem and correct invoices will be raised. Work is underway to ensure that the problem does not re-occur.
Happy to deal with any queries you may have.
Any member wishing to take up the matter directly with DVLA can get the full contact details via the MSO (01730 260162/ info@acfo.org)
