Notice from Toyota - recall campaign

We have received the note sent by Toyota GB Fleet to some operators, giving a fleet perspective on the current issue about "sticking throttle pedals" in a number of Toyota models.

 

We have placed a copy of this note in our Library section (in the Manufacturers' area), to provide easy access to all fleet operators to this safety-related issue.

 

It should be noted that the same issue can apply to other models which share common designs with some Toyota models, notably the Puegeot 107/ Citroen C1. Although the technical basis of the problem is the same, the recall/ process details devised by these other manufacturers may be different from the processes outlined by Toyota.

 

So far as we can establish (4/2/2010) the formal recall notice has not yet been posted on the VOSA web-site.
